Join us for a special edition of The Hang: Kickball in the Park!

 

This week we will be taking The Hang to Monument Park in Rockville to bring back a Main Street fan favorite- the member and staff kickball game!   Feel free to bring a friend or family member to join in the fun- just register them at as an additional attendee when you sign up.

 

Event flow:

• 12:00 pm - Meet at Monument Park in Rockville (550 Maryland Avenue), check in and form teams. Main Street staff will be at the park pavilion. 
• 12:15 pm - Game play begins
• 1:15 pm -  Game play ends, light snacks provided
• 1:30 pm -  Program wrap up

 

Important details:

• We will provide all needed equipment for this game to be played
• ALL people who plan to play in the kickball game MUST wear sneakers for safety reasons
• The field where we plan on playing does not have benches or bleachers to sit on to watch the game. Feel free to bring a chair or blanket to sit on
• There is not a public bathroom available to us at the park. The closest public bathroom is the Rockville Library, a roughly 10 minute walk from the field

 

The park is just under a mile from Main Steet, or about a 20 minute walk: Walking Map from Main Street   There are also several streets near the park that offer street parking including Monument St., Dale Dr., and Maryland Ave.

 

In the event of inclement weather, Main Street staff will reach out to attendees and activities will be moved to Poppy Boy's Kitchen.
