Introducing the Social Success Lab with Dr. Ilyssa Rivera!

What is it?

Social Success Lab is for those who want to build confidence, connection, and everyday social–emotional skills. Each session blends conversation, creativity, and real‑world skill practice in a relaxed, supportive environment designed for adults. Whether you’re working on understanding yourself better, navigating social situations, or just looking for a place to belong, Social Success Lab is about growth that feels empowering, meaningful, and fun.

What it's not...

This isn’t therapy—and it’s definitely not school. It’s a space to explore emotions, strengthen relationships, and practice skills like self‑expression, flexibility, communication, and coping, all while connecting with others who get it.

When is it?

Sessions take place once a month on Wednesdays and are designed to build on one another, while still welcoming newcomers at any time.

What can I expect?

Protector Characters: Understanding the parts of us that try to keep us safe

Have you ever noticed that sometimes we act in ways that surprise even ourselves — shutting down, speaking sharply, or pulling away? This month, members will design a "Protector Character" — a creative character that represents the part of them that tries to keep them safe when things feel hard. By giving this part a name and a face, we can understand it better and feel a little less alone in it.
