This week, we’re excited to welcome Bryan Barnett‑Woods, Rockville’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Coordinator, for an inside look at how our city is working to make walking, rolling, and biking safer and more accessible for everyone. Bryan helps lead Rockville’s Vision Zero efforts and oversees projects that shape the way we move through our community- from sidewalks and shared-use paths to bike lanes and safety initiatives.

After the discussion, stick around to join Bryan for a guided walk around Rockville Town Square and see some of these efforts in action!

Bryan Barnett-Woods is the Pedestrian and Bicycle Coordinator for the City of Rockville, where he works to build sidewalks, shared use paths, bicycle lanes and other projects to help people walk, roll, and bicycling throughout the city for recreation and transportation. His work is guided by the City's Vision Zero transportation safety program, which seeks to eliminate all traffic related serious injuries and deaths. He and the Department of Public Works collaborate with Rockville pedestrians, bicyclists, and stakeholders to identify new projects to make it easier and safer for everyone to get around Rockville. When he's not enjoying a walk or on his bike, he likes to go camping with his family.

Come early and order lunch from The Bean Bag at Main Street !
