MC Cooking- Reserve for Winter/Spring classes 2026

We are thrilled to announce another season of collaboration with Montgomery College Challenge Program! Please read below to find out how to get registered to participate in the Cooking with Friends classes that will be held here at Main Street. 

 

On Thursday November 20, from 10:30am- 12:30pm, we will be holding a registration session in the classroom at Main Street for Winter / Spring classes. Please register here to hold your space in the Cooking with Friends class. 

 

If you can not make the registration session, please reserve your spot by registering here and then reach out immediately to make separate arrangements to come fill out your registration package and drop off payment. If you register to hold your spot and do not come to the registration session or reach out to make other arrangements, your spot will not be held. 

 

Registration and payment will be done through Montgomery College's Challenge Program.  Classes will be held at Main Street in Poppy Boy's Kitchen. 

 

Montgomery College Challenge Program "Cooking with Friends" classes:

 

Let’s spice things up in the kitchen with your friends! Join us and learn how to follow recipes, measure, chop, and combine ingredients, all while experiencing the use of different kitchen tools. You will learn to use the stove, oven, and microwave. Recipes will cover foods from appetizers to desserts so that you can sample a variety of tastes. Classes will be hands-on. You will learn about specific kitchen utensils and equipment in addition to learning safety in the kitchen and healthy cooking to encourage independence. You will learn how to read, follow a recipe, and then complete the recipe. Recipe books will be given to each student. You will also learn valuable culinary skills, and experience new foods. Recipe books will be given. So grab those aprons!


Tuition for Montgomery County residents  = $235;  Non Montgomery County residents = $375.  

 

Dates and Timing:  (There will be two separate sessions available in the Winter/ Spring semester for this class. There are limited spaces open in each session. Registration is for only one of the sessions.)

  • 10 Sessions on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM- 3:30 PM from February 3- April 14
  • 10 Sessions on Tuesdays from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM from February 3- April 14
