I am based in Maryland just outside of Washington DC in the midst of wonderful horse country. Being an avid equestrian, I find myself drawn and connected to the world of Equine Photography -- be it Equestrian Sports, Equestrian Portraits or Equine Fine Art. Although I spend a lot of time with the horses, my portfolio also reflects my love of travel, wildlife and people. I believe that a photo should capture the essence of a person, place or time. And I strive to capture that essence in each of my photos.
What to expect during your mini session:
- 5 + minutes in front of the camera
- 3 + poses in front of the camera
- Be ready to be in front of the camera when it is your turn
What you will receive after your mini session:
- 3 -5 edited digital images in hi resolution
- Images will be emailed to you within a week of the mini session
Considerations for what to wear and how to look:
- Always be true to who you are.
- A headshot should be a representative of both you and your profession.
- So, think about the vibe or style that you represent.
- Think about which platforms that you would like to use your headshot on (this will often steer your decisions on style).
Best Styling Practices:
- solid color clothing is best
- if prefer a print then less busy prints are best
- wear a color that compliments you
- wear styles that you feel good in
- think about your hair style
- think about makeup (if you typically wear makeup)
- think about jewelry (if you typically wear jewelry)
- bring a jacket or sweater that you can throw on for a quick second look
